"The early European explorers named these trees "Fever Trees," because it was very common for people to fall ill with a fatal fever after being in their proximity. It was later learned that these yellow acacia trees flourish near water as well as do mosquitoes---and with mosquitoes comes malaria.
The kudu, on the other hand, is a very popular animal. With its regal appearance and up to 60-inch spiraled horns standing high above a bulls head, the magnificent antelope can cause a feverish pursuit amongst hunters in Africa." John Banovich
