"We take wood that was destined to become firewood and transform it into valuable, heirloom art." Andy and his two sons, Aaron and Daniel, have the goal of creating artwork in the form of furniture which will cause the spirit of man to be in awe of God's creation. Using ancient trees with live edges, they inset semi-precious stones and fossils to accent the natural features of the wood. Andy has been designing his custom pieces for over 25 years and has sold his work worldwide. The Queen of England has even sat at one of his tables for tea.
Mick Doellinger Sculpture
“When someone looks at my sculptures, I hope they feel the essence of the animal. I want people to connect with the piece in some way; to notice subtle nuances of the shape, motion or character.” - Mick Doellinger
From his earliest recollections, Mick was fascinated with Animals, Nature and Art and his life & work have always revolved around these passions. Mick Doellinger has lived in US for the past 10 years, but grew up in Australia where he gained many of the skills he uses today in his sculpting process. From his early days of rodeo, taxidermy, guiding and wildlife management, Mick’s lifelong accumulation of “hands-on” knowledge has given him distinct insights into the characteristics, movements and anatomy of his subjects. Over the past thirty-five years Mick has honed his sculpting skills, melding his working knowledge of animal anatomy with an innate understanding of their mechanics.
Stefan Savides Sculpture
Banovich Art represents the multi-talented artist, Stefan Savides. Stefan’s life is all about birds. He has never worked a day that he was not recreating birds in one form or another. While taxidermy, a profession in which he has worked his way to the top, earning international acclaim, has been a mainstay for most of his adult life, this multitalented artist, from a young age, has painted, carved and sculpted birds from around the world. Sculpting in bronze is a natural progression from Savides’ taxidermy, as it provides a lasting expression of his knowledge of avian anatomy and design. Years of intense study, coupled with flair for simplistic design equates to renderings that capture the essence of his subjects in elegant works of art. Stefan’s exquisite work is without the distraction of overbearing detail, brought to life by the hands of a master sculptor. Stefan is truly a multitalented artist who has proven himself in a variety of mediums.
Robert Seliger has been building gorgeous and intricate pieces of furniture since the mid-1980’s. He moved to Bend Oregon in 1990, with his wife Kathy, kids, and many animals. Originally from Colorado, Seliger’s long history with arts began at an early age with numerous national awards. He went on to pursue architecture in college and continued to tune his talents in woodworking workshops with Sam Maloof at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Aspen, Colorado. He draws most of his inspiration from visions and dreams. This is the true significance of his work that really sets it apart from traditional furniture makers. He is an artist and master woodworker with an architectural background. Robert Seliger won 1st place in the 2015 WDC Woodworking with his “War Vest” table and has since seen his work thrust into the national spotlight. The design for the table came through a dream. He saw a Native American chief going into battle and a war vest fastened upon the warrior’s chest.
